Little Baby R is still a kick in the pants and desperately wants to talk; he uses signs continuously, and gets frustrated when he doesn't have one for the word he is trying to say. On two different occasions on Thursday he "told" us he wanted his diaper changed. Not by crying, but by pointing to his crotch repeatedly and giving us his yes noise when we finally guessed what he wanted. (On a side note, that technique has never gotten me what I wanted.)
J had a football game on Thursday and really shone. In ten plays on D he had 3 solo tackles and two assists. He is not as big as most of the other guys, so he has to make sure that he tackles with correct form. When his growth spurt hits (his feet are nearly as big as mine), he won't have all the bad habits the big kids have.
M is done with school basketball. Although the team struggled, she had a great season playing point guard and finished in the top two on the team in scoring. The team was able to pull out a victory in their last game so the season ended on a high note. Now she can focus solely on soccer, where her coach has all the girls playing at a high level.
