Vacations

We took two family vacations this summer and I have not posted about either. First, we went to LaPush with my family. We had a great time. The weather was pretty good and the company was great. The were a ton of people there because my cousin Alefia got married. Lots of cousins and lots of babies. It was great. He is a slide show of a lot of pictures. Enjoy.

Tree Removal

We had a tree removed from our yard yesterday. It was a lot of fun to watch. Now our yard seems naked. After the tree came down we spent a lot of time on the yard, which is good because we had a huge thunderstorm last night and this morning and the yard is soaked.

Mariners Baseball

M and I went to the Mariners game on Monday. Not much offense to speak of. The Mariners only managed 4 hits (one of those was by Richie Sexson though - that's kind of like seeing a no hitter, right?) and no runs. The Blue Jays over powered the M's with a massive two run outburst. The Mariners did throw a young kid named Lowe that hit the mid nineties consistantly and looked pretty good. We had great seats: right field, second row and despite the lackluster play, it was still baseball (and with my daughter) and it doesn't get much better than that.

The Whole Famn Damily

It is really hot here. We have our pool up and running, but we have to go to an outdoor wedding today.

Summer is here!

Finally some decent weather! Last night we roasted hot dogs and marsh mellows in our fire pit and tonight we ate on the deck. I am moving forward on the projects we have set for the summer and finding time to play catch. All in all I can't complain!

Summer Conditioning

The whole family got out yesterday morning and went for a run or walk. Sorry to say I am sadly out of shape. However, I got to use my Nike iPod+ for the first time today. It is really cool. If any of you loyal readers out there has one let me know and I will challenge you to some runs. I hope we can all keep it up for the summer!

Painting

In February I painted J's room. I am very proud of it, but I have not had the time to post any pictures. Two weeks ago we had our living room, dining room and hallways painted. We are slowly but surely making this house how we want it!

Recent Happenings

Lots of things have been happening her since the last post. M finished out her volleyball season and is looking forward to an intense camp this summer. J just completed spring football for the high school, where they had him playing QB. He is planning on going to a four day overnight football camp this summer. He also had his 8th grade graduation night, which was very long. I can't believe that he is moving on to high school already! Of course we are all done with school. It was a very anticlimatic end to the school year. The weather has been so bad that it doesn't really seem like summer.

We tried to give Lily away to some friends of ours, but she had six accidents in two days (including three poops in one day), so they gave her back. We have lots of projects, etc. to get cleared up this summer and a couple of big trips to look forward to. I leave you with a slide show to enjoy, stick around until the end because there are some adorable pictures of the little boys.

Something other than pictures...

School is coming to a close, so maybe I will be able to update more often, we'll see. J just finished his lacrosse season. He had a lot of fun, but the team didn't have a lot of success, which frustrated him. He played very well for a first year player. After the season, he dyed his lacrosse head purple and white. It looks very cool. He did an awesome job.

M is in the middle of her first volleyball season. She is having a great time. She went from being very frustrated at practice to being a starter and on the floor for the majority of the time. Her team has one every match so far. She decided to play after she and I went to see the UW play USC. (Thanks, Eddie!)
I am enjoying being done with baseball and actually having some free time. We have tons of work around the house that needs to be done and it is nice to be able to get to that and have some time to myself. J and I were able to sneak away for a romantic dinner at Salty's on Saturday night for the first time since before R was born! We had some excellent Calamari that was so rich it made us both sick. We took a walk along the boardwalk afterwards and had a great time talking about nothing.
The two little ones are growing like weeds and doing new things every day and keeping us very busy.
