It is really hot here. We have our pool up and running, but we have to go to an outdoor wedding today.

Summer is here!

Finally some decent weather! Last night we roasted hot dogs and marsh mellows in our fire pit and tonight we ate on the deck. I am moving forward on the projects we have set for the summer and finding time to play catch. All in all I can't complain!

Summer Conditioning

The whole family got out yesterday morning and went for a run or walk. Sorry to say I am sadly out of shape. However, I got to use my Nike iPod+ for the first time today. It is really cool. If any of you loyal readers out there has one let me know and I will challenge you to some runs. I hope we can all keep it up for the summer!

Painting

In February I painted J's room. I am very proud of it, but I have not had the time to post any pictures. Two weeks ago we had our living room, dining room and hallways painted. We are slowly but surely making this house how we want it!

Recent Happenings

Lots of things have been happening her since the last post. M finished out her volleyball season and is looking forward to an intense camp this summer. J just completed spring football for the high school, where they had him playing QB. He is planning on going to a four day overnight football camp this summer. He also had his 8th grade graduation night, which was very long. I can't believe that he is moving on to high school already! Of course we are all done with school. It was a very anticlimatic end to the school year. The weather has been so bad that it doesn't really seem like summer.

We tried to give Lily away to some friends of ours, but she had six accidents in two days (including three poops in one day), so they gave her back. We have lots of projects, etc. to get cleared up this summer and a couple of big trips to look forward to.
